This fact is supported by your DNA and extraordinary fingerprint. But are you aware that just like DNA and fingerprints, bite marks are unique to a person?

No two people have identical bites. Your bite mark, such as the distance and angles between the teeth, missing teeth, and fillings and dental work are all unique. This is the reason why forensic dentistry has become an important component of forensic science, specifically in the identification of individuals.

Other Surprising Things About Teeth You May Not Know About

Without a doubt, your teeth are uniquely yours, which is why you need to take all precautions to ensure its health and condition. To help you appreciate your teeth more, learning about them may do the trick.

For one, do you know that about 2.5% to 7% of the population did not experience growing permanent teeth? These baby teeth remained and eventually became their permanent teeth.

Another interesting fact is that your tooth enamel is the hardest part of your body. But it is important to note that while it is hard, it is sadly more susceptible to breaking down and to decay. This is the reason why you should never neglect your dental care habits and your regular visits to our clinic for a checkup.

One other important teeth fact that you need to realize is that your teeth cannot repair itself. There are many structures in your body that can readily repair itself when damaged but not your teeth.
